A Weird Blog Contest

October 14th, 2011

I remember visiting a blog that had an ongoing contest. I somehow find the contest weird since it involves messy cables. The mechanics, as far as I recall, was to submit a photo of your messy cables at home, be it in your workstation or your entertainment space, as long as the cables are all messed up and tangled. The photo that has the messiest cables will win cash from the blog owner.

It was really bizarre for me since I myself does not want my cables to be all snarled and in a big jumble, even my rca video cables I make sure that they’re placed in a secure and safe space so as to prevent from any fire or sparks. I guess that contest can be an eye opener as well, knowing that disheveled cables can be a fire hazard. I wonder if there were entrants to that contest.

Florida as a Top Tourist Destination

October 14th, 2011

Florida has been known for its crocodile-infested marshes and bikini-clad beaches and resorts. It’s also one of the top tourist destinations in the United States with millions of local and foreign visitors flocking the lively state each year. Hotels, inns, resorts, and country clubs for sure have handy brochures, maps and even florida fishing guide leaflets for tourists to refer to when they explore the place.

Florida is also a host to many tourist attractions like museums, parks, theaters, and a whole lot more. A day or a week perhaps would surely not be enough to see all the sights and sounds Florida has to offer.

Loving the Cold Weather

October 11th, 2011

We have just been to Melbourne. My kids truly were loving it there. It was spring but drizzly and windy. The first day we got there, my kids ran around, taking off their shirts. and I was kind of worried. But they really had fun. One day, we went to visit Port Campbell. It was already late at night when we arrived. We couldn’t find a hotel so we decided to sleep in the car. The kids had a blast! But I was wishing for an electric blanket all throughout the night because no matter how layered my clothing were, I still felt cold.

But it was an experience to remember.

Electronic Payments

October 1st, 2011

The advancement of technology has brought us a lot of convenience these days. Shopping, for one, has changed a lot now with the advent of online shopping. Gone are the days that we have to go from mall to mall just to search for the product we want to buy. With online shopping, we could avail of the stuff we want and enjoy the lowest prices as well—without even have to go out of our houses!

Even paying for our commodities and services could easily be done online. The ach payment at ThePaymentsAuthority.org offers very reliable services. While some people are not very confident about these electronic payments and wire transfers, this company ensures that your money is safe and well-protected.

Do you make use of electronic payments? Technology has indeed given us another wonder, hasn’t it?

Almost 10

October 1st, 2011

In two years hubby and I are going to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. How time flies! I guess if you’re like me who is happily married, it seems like the wedding only happened yesterday. Of course there will always be ups and downs in marriage, but good memories seem to just conceal them all.

I don’t know what to get hubby for our 10th anniversary yet—I don’t know if he is saving up one of those diamond rings! Of course I am not wishing for a very expensive gift but if he does give me one, I would truly be elated! And who would not be?
What do you suggest I should get my man? Oh, that reminds me to save up as early as now!

Adventures

September 11th, 2011

Adventure- one word that would certainly rouse us from our sluggishness and stupor, a word that everyone would hear even if said in the softest of voices and a word that one cannot define in a sentence and not without pictures and gestures. Adventure can be defined in so many ways. It can be a mountain trek in some untouched jungle riding an rzr bringing only the most basic of needs and some necessary rzr parts.

It could also be an adventure of the mind like reading a very interesting book or watching an exciting movie. It can also be a trek in an urban jungle which can be more dangerous than a virgin forest. Other than these, there are a lot more ways to define adventure but I’m sure we would all agree that having an adventure is a great achievement in our lives that is worth relaying over and over again.

Gift-Giving Season

September 5th, 2011

We are already in the month of September and in the Philippines, the start of Christmas season is here. In other countries like America, we celebrate Christmas on December 25th. But in the Philippines, we start hearing Christmas songs in September. People would start buying gifts in October. They start caroling on the first day of December. It is a season and not just a day.

And so, at the onset of October, people would be buying gifts. Some people would think of buying red envelope radio codes and some would settle on small stuffs. Anyways, the size of a gift doesn’t really matter. It’s what’s in the heart when you give that matters the most.

And so for this gift-giving season that is coming so soon, have you started listing down for gift ideas?

Avengers 2012

August 30th, 2011

After watching Captain America I have become interested in the story and the coming together of the Avengers in 2012 that I watched the movies of the other superheroes.

Just this afternoon I watched Incredible Hulk, the one with Edward Norton and Liv Tyler. The was story was at least not boring, it contained a lot of action scenes, crushing cars with auto floor mats and using high-end weapons but the effects were not at par with its contemporaries. Edward Norton, looking really hot as usual, did well in the movie and so did Liv. Sadly, Edward will not be able to reprise his role as Bruce Banner in 2012. I really hope that the movie would exceed the expectations of the fans and mine. I am looking forward to how the heroic Captain America, playboy Iron Man, intellectual Bruce Banner and mythical Thor would interact.
