Make Your House Cozy

There’s nothing like a cozy house. You feel warm and comfortable. When you go to other people’s house and the house is cozy, you would feel really at home. But how do we make a cozy house? There are many ways:

1. Yellow lightings have a mellow effect. We use a lot of these at home. My boy, everytime he wantshis house to look nice, he would turn on the yellow lights.

2. Keep things at a minimum. As a family house, this is a great challenge as you tend to buy a lot of things for the kids and sometimes those things are left cluttering around the house. But of course, we can teach the kids how to keep their things after playing with them.

3. Keep the kitchen clean. It’s always disgusting to come to a dirty and oily kitchen. My kitchen is my favorite place to clean. Although sometimes dishes are left unwashed in the sink… but hey… there are good days and bad days, right? HJaving a good faucet is actually a bonus. And this reminds me to check about the Grohe faucet.

4. Make a statement. Your house says it a lot. Your house is you. It represents you. So make sure that your house reflects who you are… may it small or big.

5. Above all, and I will always say this.. If God resides in your house, you not only make your house cozy, you make it a home, too… not just for you and family… but for others who come and visit you.

Family's Future

Every family should consider their future. That’s why there’s a lot of things you can do to make sure your future is insured. For example, parents can invest in their children’s education. There are a lot of insurance companies that sell educational plans. Some would go for life plans. Others would make sure they have Medicare supplement plans. Whatever that would make us feel more secure, we should do.

But of course, there’s nothing like entrusting to the Lord our future. We don’t know what holds our future. Only God knows. So whatever we do, we should just let go and trust Him for everything. Of course, we do need to save up as well, specially for the “rainy days” to come. But a family that trusts in the Lord lives their livesĀ  to the fullest.

How to Take Care of Pets

I don’t personally like taking care of pets. I am not sure why… but I dislike the smell of animals. I know they are cute. Some could be adorable… like kittens. I love kittens. But I dislike them the moment they become cats. Same goes with puppies. But having kids in the house can make so much difference. My boy loves dogs and has been bugging me if we could have one. So I’m thinking of possibilities. But before I get one, I need to find out how to take care of pets first. I haven’t done any research yet but I reckon I need to:

1. prepare their home (a cage? hmmm… maybe. a dog house? most probably)

2. think of how much to spend for their food and pet supplements and draw out a monthly budget.

3. think of how much time i need to set aside each day to bathe them, walk them to the park, feed them, etc.

4. with whom do I leave them in case we go for family break again… and for the sound of it, it looks like we go out a lot nowadays.

5. would our Muslim neighbor mind if we own a dog?

Looks like I don’t need to go on. LOL. All I can think of are just sounding like it’s not a good idea to have pets in the house.
