We went to visit Helen O’ Grady Drama Academy yesterday, after church. It wasn’t planned, really. We went to Taipan to buy some soya bean milk for the kids because both of them like it so much. Then we saw that the drama school was just nearby so we phoned to ask whether we could visit the place. It was very timely as they had their yearly production going on. So before speaking with the director, we watch the children perform. We were quite impress with what we saw so we inquired more.
Drama is used as a developmental platform whereby speech-work, coordination, improvisation activities and exercises are focused upon. Furthermore, it is an excellent way for children to gain a better feel for the English language and to become more articulate when speaking as well as building up their vocabulary – perfect for both native and non-native English speakers.
Drama allows children the creative outlet of expressing themselves freely, yet constructively!

Enthusiastic participation is encouraged at all times and students present a short, scripted production at the end of each year for parents and friends. Above all, the classes are fun!
