Lazy Day

January 30th, 2010

Today is Saturday and I decided to just laze around with kids. Usually, it’s a cleaning day. But I don’t feel like doing those. My girl is having a fever too. So I just stayed right beside her. I did some cooking though. After my kids watched the animated movie the meatballs from our Samsung tv, they asked me if I could cook them spaghetti with meatballs. Hehehe. I just did. Now I am back to just lazing around. But I have a load of laundry to do. Maybe later. It can wait. I have another day to spare coz the kids would only need to wear their uniforms on Monday. So yeah, let’s get lazy! LOL.

Lights Up!

January 30th, 2010

I so admire my friend’s house in the US. Her well-kept living room made me really envious. With small kids, I cannot seem to manage keeping house spic and span all day long. Oh, I know they would one day grow up and yes, like my older friends would always say, I must enjoy them while I still can. Before I know it, zap! they would be on their own.

Back to my friend’s living room—I just love her furniture… and the lighting fixtures that enhanced their beauty! I am so wishing I could buy one of those, so our living room would not just be well-lighted, but would be a restful place for the family at the end of a long day.

Toughie Me

January 30th, 2010

I seriously detest medical check-ups. Urine and blood tests, x-rays… I shiver at the thought of them. Well if I have to get a life insurance (and I am seriously considering getting one), I would have no choice but submit myself to those needles and seemingly endless tests. I just wish there was a life insurance no medical exam!

I cannot believe what I saw online today. There really is one! Wow! It would totally relieve me of all the hassles. People know me as a toughie and yes, the idea that no one would see me wince or turn pale at the sight of needles would remain a secret. Oh, well, you know it now. LOL.

Family Holiday

January 25th, 2010

One thing that impressed me about in America is the recreational vehicle. You can go out camping or holidaying with your family and you don’t need to look for a hotel to stay in, especially if you’re going to a far place. I so wish we have that in Malaysia. A lot of families here like to go camping but I think having an rv is quite a luxury. If ever we have that here, of course we need to have rv repair shops. That would help find more work for people.

Whether we have rv or not though, I can’t wait for my kids to grow a bit older so we can go camping out.

USANA for the Hubby

January 19th, 2010

My husband used to get sick a lot. He comes from his travel and he gets sick. Not only he gest sick for a few days… but it goes on and on and on. One of his staff recommended to take USANA supplements. Lo and  behold, it worked f0r him. He doesn’t get sick that often anymore. Now, I wonder if supplements for weight loss would work on him too? He’s so keen in losing the weight he gained from our previous trip.

Better Now

January 17th, 2010

Been back to Malaysia for a few days now. I am glad my skin is getting back to normal. It looks shiny again. Not the greasy shiny type. My skin just couldn’t take it in a cold weather. One time I had a cold sore. It was awful and a bit of embarrassing. Good thing it didn’t spread out. I had buy a lip balm just to keep my lips moisturized. I think if I stayed longer in a cold weather, I would need an anti aging product. Dry skin can help alleviate early signs of aging of the skin. So one needs to slather moisturizer on the skin, especially if the kids gets really really dry.

Homeless

January 17th, 2010

America is a land of many opportunities. But one thing that left me curious was… there were thousands of homeless people roaming around the streets! I’m sure it didn’t just happen two years ago when the economy downfall started. I’m sure there were already thousands of homeless people way before that. I always though of America as a land where there’s 0% poverty. I was totally dumbstruck to see homeless people on the streets. There might be a lot of Philadelphia jobs available… but then I think not everybody can avail of it. I’m very curious what the government does for homeless people. It is such a rich country and yet you can see a lot of homeless people.

Soup Plantation

January 17th, 2010

soup plantationYeah, I know it sounds weird. Soup Plantation. I felt it was weird too the first time I heard it. But Soup Plantation is a great place for food, eat all you can style. The place served eat-all-you-can vegetable salads, all fresh, different kinds of soup, desserts, fruits, etc. It is a place where you can splurge on food and yet continue on with your diet or even can lose weight fast. It’s probably just like www.loseweightfast.net. I really loved it there. Like I said, every food in America that I have tried was awesome.

Wow!

January 17th, 2010

Indeed… wow… green tea diet pills? Green teas have really come so far. The last time green tea has wowed me when I discovered there’s a green tea shake at Starbucks cafe. Now, it’s a diet pill. I have always known that green tea will be served as a tea, hot or cold, and that it has a substance that can cleanse the colon or substance that can do detoxification. I mean green tea by itself is already comparable to a diet pill… and now it comes as a diet pill. Isn’t that cool?

Food Galore

January 17th, 2010

The other major thing that we did while in US apart from shopping was to eat big time. Our friends who hosted us felt that we needed to eat more of their food, the American food. And so, we had something like roast prime ribs, huge lobsters, sausages, stuffed shell in tomato sauce, taco, fish taco, and more tacos. LOL. And I didn’t think of dieting. I just wanted to eat also. Now I’m thinking whether I would go for colon cleansing. Not sure whether I need to do that. Or maybe, go for a detox? I have some detox tea left. So I’ll probably give a detox a go. But really, every food we ate in America was awesome.
